Just in case no one told you yet today! It’s super easy to lose focus on that fact and feel insecure about imperfections. Everywhere we look, the “ideal” woman is constantly put in front of us and told this is the only definition of beauty. It’s not, and the idea of one kind of beauty is really boring.
It’s like saying we only need one kind of flower because it’s beautiful enough.
That other flowers should look just like it or it should be considered a weed. Actually, that’s stupid when you think about it. Instead, I prefer to think of us as a rainbow. Red is beautiful, but so is blue, and yellow, together they are breathtaking! We are different but still beautiful, and together we create something stunning!

WHY IS THAT RELEVANT BESIDES THE OBVIOUS?
Well, the problem with focusing on physique is you become focused on having the body you envisioned or having the body someone else has, and that becomes your end goal. I started my weight loss journey after I had my oldest daughter and I had this exact mentality. In three months I lost 50 pounds and looked great, but I wasn’t happy or if I’m being honest, that healthy. It felt like I had to lose more to look good because I didn’t fit the vision I had in my mind.
SO, I STARTED USING WEIGHT LOSS PILLS AND TRIED DIETS THAT LIMITED ME TO A COUPLE FOOD GROUPS AND KEPT ME TO ONE MEAL A DAY.
It helped me lose a little more, but I felt horrible, and eventually, those last five pounds I lost came back with vengeance. After I fit, what I considered to be an “ideal body”, I thought I would have all this confidence and finally feel good about myself. What I eventually learned was it’s in the achievement itself and how hard you worked to get there.
IF YOU FOCUS ON YOUR HEALTH, YOU WILL FEEL MORE IMMEDIATE SATISFACTION THEN IF YOU FOCUS ONLY ON HOW YOU LOOK.
One healthy meal won’t change how you look, but it could change how you feel! After a few days and weeks, you begin to see you are capable of more than you thought. You learn you are stronger and more than a number on a scale. Even though you knew it would be hard, you did what it took to succeed. You put in the blood, sweat, and many tears and you achieved your goal!
THAT’S WHAT MAKES YOU AMAZING, HAVING THE BODY TO PROVE IT IS JUST A BONUS. THE ICING ON THE CAKE YOU WON’T EAT BECAUSE YOU’RE AWESOME LIKE THAT!

You’re here reading this. There’s a desire to make a change. Identifying that a change needs to be made is the first step and it’s a big one! So many people want to make a change but not many will. It’s hard! No one really enjoys a change. It’s uncomfortable and takes a lot of determination. It takes more than knowing it should happen, it takes effort and by reading this you’ve already put more effort into it than thousands of others. You’re stronger then you think! All you need to do is start a routine, and you will be unstoppable!
You can’t fail!
It’s not easy starting a routine. Living a healthy lifestyle is a constant learning process of what does and doesn’t work for you. There will be mistakes along the way whether it’s a day of binging or a missed work out, but It does not mean you have failed! It’s an opportunity to grow and better understand what works for you!
